Huamei fully supports the development of mandatory national standards for building insulation materials

To implement the comprehensive remediation plan for safety hazards in building insulation materials, the mandatory national standard GB 46520-2025, "Technical Specification for Fire Performance Safety of Thermal Insulation Materials and Products for Buildings," was officially released on October 5, 2025, and will be implemented on August 1, 2026.

This standard, based on the different combustion characteristics of organic, inorganic, and composite materials, categorizes and specifies minimum combustion performance ratings, as well as requirements for smoke toxicity, combustion droplets, and smoke production characteristics. This aims to improve the quality of building insulation materials and products and reduce fire safety risks. The standard also provides classifications and examples for building insulation materials and products, and clarifies that product labeling should include key information such as product name, fire performance rating, and manufacturer, facilitating product traceability and regulatory oversight.

On December 13, 2024, the development of this standard began at Huamei Energy Saving Technology Group's headquarters. Subsequently, several related work meetings were held in Beijing and other locations.
